【北美发布讯】美中药协北卡分会（SAPA-NC）将于10月14日中午在北卡研究三角园区（RTP）举行线下专业沙龙，邀请业内人士围绕人工智能在药物设计、临床研究以及真实世界数据等领域的应用展开交流。
本次活动由SAPA-NC与AIGM共同举办，主题为“AI赋能药物设计与临床研究”（AI-Empowered Drug Design & Clinical Research Salon）。活动时间为当天中午12时至下午3时，地点设在Frontier RTP Conference Room。
主办方SAPA-NC 会长肖斌博士介绍，本次沙龙将重点讨论人工智能在药物设计、真实世界数据及真实世界证据（RWD/RWE）、临床试验设计和证据生成等环节中的实际应用，同时特别设置现场结构化辩论（Live Structured Debate），希望通过正反观点交锋，讨论AI进入生命科学领域后面临的一些现实问题。
辩论议题包括：人工智能提高研发效率的同时，是否可能影响科学研究的严谨性；海量数据与高质量数据之间应如何取舍；AI和计算模型能够在多大程度上替代传统实验验证；以及当AI作出错误判断时，最终的责任应由谁承担。
活动将采用主题演讲、正反辩论、现场观众投票、专家评判和要点总结相结合的方式进行。主办方表示，希望参与者不仅了解AI“能够做什么”，也能够进一步讨论哪些应用已经具备实际落地条件，哪些仍需要更多科学验证。
本次活动嘉宾包括AIGM Limited首席科学家Rico W. Tang博士、AIGM合伙人Selina Zhang，SAPA-NC顾问Tony Zhang博士将担任活动主持人。
当天中午12时至12时30分安排简餐及自由交流，12时30分至下午3时举行正式沙龙。
主办方欢迎来自生物科技、制药、CRO、临床研究、人工智能以及RWE/RWD等相关领域的专业人士参加，也向关注“AI+生命科学”发展的业界人士开放报名。活动名额有限，参与者可通过主办方提供的报名二维码提前注册。

SAPA-NC and AIGM will host an in-person professional salon on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Frontier RTP:
AI-Empowered Drug Design & Clinical Research Salon
This event will explore how AI is being applied across drug design, real-world data/evidence (RWD/RWE), clinical trial design, patient population analysis, and evidence generation. More importantly, this will not be just another AI presentation.
A key feature of the program is a live, structured Pro vs. Con debate on whether AI-driven dry-lab approaches, integrated with wet-lab research, are truly ready to become a new paradigm for drug development and clinical research.
Key debate questions include:
- Speed vs. Rigor — Can AI accelerate research without compromising scientific rigor?
- Big Data vs. Better Data — When can 3,000 well-characterized patients be more valuable than 300 million records?
- Dry Lab vs. Wet Lab — How much experimental work can, or should, AI actually replace?
- Automation vs. Accountability — If an AI-generated conclusion is wrong, who is ultimately responsible?
The program will follow an interactive format:
Keynote → Pro/Con Debate → Audience Vote → Panel Judgment → Key Takeaways
The goal is not only to hear what AI can do, but also to critically assess where AI is ready today, what conditions are required for responsible adoption, and what challenges remain unresolved.
